Our staff comprises of three doctors, a practice nurse, practice midwife and administration staff. Together we welcome you to Cedar Family Practice.

Dr. Siobhan Murphy

Dr. Siobhan Murphy

Dr Siobhan Murphy is a Waterford native. She graduated from UCC in 2005 after which she completed a two year scheme in general hospital medicine before training as a GP on the SE GP training scheme.

She has a masters in sport and exercise medicine with a special interest in management of chronic diseases including diabetes and hypertension. She is trained in the fitting of long acting reversible contraceptives and has an interest in management of menopausal symptoms and well woman care. She is enthusiastic about preventative medicine and encourages well woman and well man checks.

Dr. Mary Kilcoyne

Dr. Mary Kilcoyne

Dr Mary Kilcoyme graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1998. She completed specialist training in general practice on the South East training scheme. She has a special interest in mental health and works with the child and adolescent mental health services in Wexford. She also has a special interest in family planning and is competent in the fitting of LARCs – Long acting reversible contraceptives. She also has a special interest in womens health, diabetic management and end of life care.

Dr. Caroline Kelly

Dr. Caroline Kelly

Dr Caroline Kelly, originally from Waterford graduated from Medicine, University College Dublin in 2006. She has gained experience working in a wide variety of hospital specialties. Caroline completed her GP training in London and worked as a general practitioner in London and Kent before returning to Waterford in 2017. She has diplomas in child health, clinical psychiatry, and a diploma in sexual and reproductive health. She has a keen interest in women's health, child health, and preventative medicine.

Dr. Toby Flack

Dr. Toby Flack

Dr. Toby Flack studied medicine in St. George’s University of London graduating in 2016. He worked in general hospital medicine for 2 years before moving to Waterford in 2018. He trained as a GP on the South East training scheme.   He holds a postgraduate certificate in Palliative Care after working with the palliative team in UHW. He has special interests in Men’s Health, Migraine and in the management of Asthma and COPD. Dr Flack also offers an Ingrown Toenail surgery service and some minor surgical procedures

Deirdre Twomey

Nurse

Deirdre Twomey

Deirdre is an experienced practice nurse who is dedicated to patient care. Deirdre studied nursing in UCC and subsequently achieved a certificate in Midwifery from Erinville School of Midwifery, Cork. Deirdre carries out a range of services such as Smears, ECGs and Ear Syringing. She also provides vaccinations, wound care and chronic disease management.

The first group for vaccination are those over 85 yrs (Level 1) and only when this group has been vaccinated can we move to the next group (Level 2) and so on until vaccinations are completed for all groups.
